Our Goals & Objectives

Lakeview Montessori on the Hill was established in 2005 to provide a quality Montessori program in cooperation with the child, the family, the neighborhood, the Montessori community, and the child-related professional community.

LMS will provide the learning environment, guidance, and support which helps children develop the social, physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual aspects of their personalities.

We view the ultimate goal of the learning experience as the construction of fully integrated human beings that can effectively contribute to society. Our society begins with the individual child, their home and neighborhood, and spreads to the world society.

We Strive for the following:

A young girl with a yellow flower pin on her gray polka-dot shirt sitting at a wooden desk, writing on a worksheet with colored markers in a classroom. Behind her are wooden shelves with educational supplies, and a clock showing 9:09 on the wall.

To develop skills and attitudes within the children that are necessary for them to become life long learners.

Children and a teacher sitting at a long table in a classroom, celebrating a party with food and drinks.

To provide opportunities for parental and community involvement.

A young boy wearing glasses sits at a wooden table examining a model of the solar system, with planets arranged on a stand in front of him.

To provide learning experiences that will help children maximize their potential.

A young girl with red hair wearing a yellow headband and a gray dress with colorful stars, sitting at a table doing math work with red counters, worksheets, and small bowls. In the background, a boy in a striped shirt is lying on a white mat playing with toys. Storage bins and shelves are visible in a room with wooden floors.

To advocate and facilitate parenting education.

Four young children sitting around a wooden table playing an educational card game with animal pictures and names, in a classroom setting.

To assist children in developing inner discipline, sense of order, concentration, coordination and independence.

A teacher sitting on the floor with four young children around a striped rug in a classroom, engaging in a sensory or counting activity with small objects. The classroom has shelves filled with books and learning materials.

To provide mixed age environments based on the Montessori theory of child development.
