Lakeview Montessori on the Hill pledges to provide an environment where the different personalities and learning styles of the students can flourish. Our goal is to foster each child's knowledge, confidence, independence, and self-dicipline, which will enable them to be "life-long learners" and contributing members of our society.

Our Classes

A Montessori class is ungraded and the children within the environment range in age. As a result, a child can work with older children in one subject, with younger children in another, and still have social interaction with children his own age. As an individual, the child is not dependent on others in his group for intellectual or social growth.

Toddler (18mons-3yrs)

The Montessori Toddler curriculum includes work in the following areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, and Fine Motor/Adaptive activities that develop eye-hand coordination. Work in all four areas act as a precursor to the more intricate lessons in pre-primary.

Pre-Primary (3-6yrs)

The Pre-Primary Montessori curriculum is a culmination of the preparatory work done during the first two years, and covers the four major categories: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, and Mathematics. Other areas with materials include art, music, history, science, and geography.
